A few significant life events led me to study to become a hypnotherapist, alongside an inherent passion to help others. Having experienced my own mental health challenges for much of my life, I reached a point where I not only wanted to share with others what I had learned, but also to develop my knowledge further so I could help people in a more constructive and professional way.
Watching my children and their peers navigate the challenges of adolescence, and seeing first-hand the lack of adequate mental health support, inspired me to train as a hypnotherapist. I am passionate about helping people build resilience, manage stress and anxiety, and develop lasting confidence. I am also committed to helping and supporting those who have grown up with self-beliefs or habits that stand in the way of achieving their goals and dreams.
To test the waters, I began by studying online and achieved a Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health (NCFE CACHE Level 2). This gave me the confidence to enrol on a professional hypnotherapy course. Three years later, after completing my Hypnotherapy and Introduction to Counselling course, I now run a successful hypnotherapy business from my garden room in Warwick, affectionately known as the “Goatshed”.
My mission is to provide a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I am here to help people overcome the challenges that may be holding them back and to support them in making meaningful, lasting changes. Through the power of hypnosis, I guide clients to access their inner strengths, shift unhelpful patterns, and build the confidence they need to achieve their personal goals.

Hazel Smyth Hypnotherapy is based in Warwick and is ideally placed for anyone living in Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, Kenilworth, and Coventry. I work from my beautiful garden room, affectionately known as the “Goatshed”, which is accessed through the side gate.
Your relaxation begins the moment you open the gate, cross the little bridge over the pond, and walk along the path to the end of the garden, where my peaceful garden room awaits. The setting itself helps you start to unwind, surrounded by nature and the gentle sound of birdsong. Tucked away here, it offers a calm and tranquil environment that feels safe and private. Creating a supportive and comfortable space is my priority, and this quiet sanctuary provides the perfect setting for you to fully relax and focus during your hypnotherapy session.
I also work online, which can be just as effective as face-to-face appointments. All that is required is a laptop with a camera and a quiet room at home, free from interruptions, preferably using earphones, which can enhance the effectiveness of hypnotherapy. This may be a more suitable option if you live outside the local area or have time constraints. Some people also simply prefer the comfort and convenience of working online from their own home.
If you would like to experience hypnotherapy in this peaceful setting, feel free to get in touch to arrange an initial consultation.

I hold a Diploma in Hypnotherapy from the Prince’s Trust (OFQUAL) and I am a member of the National Hypnotherapy Society, which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
My original professional background was in the field of Food Technology, and I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Food Technology.
I also hold two NCFE Level 2 certificates in Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Awareness of Mental Health Problems, with a specific focus on men’s mental health.
In addition, I have recently completed a Certificate in Hypnotherapy for Menopause Support and also hold a Level 2 City & Guilds certificate in Dementia Awareness.

I offer a free 30-minute phone consultation to discuss your concerns and how hypnotherapy could help. It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and decide whether it feels like the right approach for you.
The first session will include a more in-depth conversation to help me fully understand your concerns and goals. A significant part of this session is a calming hypnotherapy experience designed to help you unwind and relax.
Together, we will discuss a session plan to ensure you feel comfortable with both the approach and the process. I will then create bespoke scripts tailored to your needs, always working at the client’s pace, checking in throughout each session, and adapting the session plan if necessary.
I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve their goals and am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and confidential environment for everyone I work with.
If you would like to arrange your free consultation, please get in touch and I will be happy to help.
